The purpose of the discussion group is for discussing the new site platform, design, functionality, and content.

Obviously there is limited content right now, but please feel free to check out the preview site, as it is being built out.

When the new platform, content, and design is complete then it will replace what is currently on http://www.refresh-orlando.org

Refresh Orlando

We initially announced the logo contest at last month’s meeting. Participation is very simple:

To submit your logo, please have your logo available as a raster image for the our roadmap meeting on June 15th (be sure to RSVP below to attend the meeting) at CoLab Orlando.

The submitted logos will be judged by all attendees of the meeting. The winner will receive a copy of the CSS Cookbook, Third Edition.

So, fire up your favorite illustrating application and get designing!

We have had 6 continuous meetings since November 2009, with 105 individual signs ups to attend (via Eventbrite). On average 15 people attend each meeting. Each meeting has rotated around the Orlando metro area, in various communities such as Altamonte Springs, East Orlando, Downtown Orlando, and Winter Park

This month our presenter will be Jeff Bridgforth:

Jeff is a professional Web designer and front-end developer with over 10 years experience. He loves to create visual design and then build them with HTML, CSS, and jQuery. He also is quite handy building sites with WordPress. Jeff is currently freelancing while looking for a new career challenge with a small to medium sized Web agency.
